1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing OH-SO ED. We are committed to delivering engaging and high-quality online education. These Terms outline your rights and responsibilities as a parent or guardian, and by accepting them, you agree to adhere to all policies associated with your child’s enrolment at OH-SO ED. Our teaching model aligns with DfE guidelines for online education and is supported by experienced, qualified teachers.
2. Summary of Key Terms
Enrolment at OH-SO ED is annual, with fees due upfront unless a payment plan is agreed.
The Programme includes live lessons, recorded content, access to learning platforms and teacher support.
Parents are responsible for researching external qualifications and registering their child for any exams.
A 14-day cooling-off period applies from the start date unless the platform is accessed within that window.
Students and families must comply with all OH-SO ED policies to maintain access to services.
3. Programme and Services
OH-SO ED offers a broad and balanced curriculum from Year 7 through Year 11, structured around live virtual lessons, interactive assignments and continuous assessment. Our programmes are designed to support students’ academic growth and personal development. We use a dedicated learning platform for resources, feedback and communication with families.
4. Enrolment, Payment & Duration
A student's enrolment is secured once registration details are submitted and fees are paid in full, or a formal payment plan is set. Timely payment is essential to secure ongoing access to lessons and course materials.
5. Cancellation & Cooling-Off Period
Parents may cancel within 14 days from the course start date, provided no access has been made to learning platforms.
For Key Stage 3 (Years 7–9), one full academic term’s notice is required to terminate enrolment.
For GCSE courses (Years 10–11), two full academic terms’ notice is required.
6. Responsibilities
Parents/guardians are expected to ensure their child:
Attends scheduled classes and completes assignments
Participates in onboarding and assessments
Follows school policies
Registers for exams when needed
Parents can monitor their child’s progress and communicate with staff through our secure parent portal.
7. Academic and Technical Policies
Students must adhere to acceptable digital behaviour standards. Any form of inappropriate conduct, dishonesty, or misuse of technology can result in disciplinary actions. OH-SO ED moderates all online content and maintains safeguarding vigilance during live lessons and communications.
8. Amendments to Services or Terms
OH-SO ED reserves the right to amend its Terms, Policies, or Services to improve operations or comply with regulation changes. You will be informed 30 days in advance of such changes. If you feel these amendments negatively affect your child, you may withdraw from the Programme and request a refund for the unused term period.
9. Warranties & Liability
We ensure our services and materials meet professional educational standards. However, OH-SO ED is not liable for:
Home-based accidents or injuries
Internet outages or hardware issues
Outcomes of unsupervised practical tasks
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the Programme.
10. Force Majeure
In rare situations such as illness outbreaks, natural disasters, or internet service failures, OH-SO ED may need to reschedule or provide recordings of lessons. We will make every reasonable effort to maintain continuity of learning during disruptions.
11. Data & Privacy
We process personal data lawfully under the Data Protection Act 2018. Your child’s information is used only for educational purposes and will never be sold or shared inappropriately. You may contact us at any time to access, correct, or delete your data.
12. Ownership of Materials
All lesson materials and platform content are the intellectual property of OH-SO ED and are for enrolled students only. Sharing, reproducing, or distributing content without permission is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
13. Contact, Complaints & Support
We are committed to working with families to resolve any issues. If you have concerns or feedback, please contact our support team. Our Complaints Policy outlines a clear process for escalation, available on request or from our website.
14. Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved through the UK legal system.
